Overview of the Department
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at AKS University is dedicated to providing high-quality education, hands-on training, and industry-oriented learning. With a focus on innovation, research, and skill development, the department prepares students to meet the dynamic demands of the IT sector. Our programs are designed in line with NEP-2020, promoting interdisciplinary knowledge, technical excellence, and ethical values. As Associate Dean of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, I take immense pride in sharing the university’s initiatives aimed at bridging the urban-rural divide and nurturing talent from grassroots levels.
Department of Computer Science and Engineering has made focused efforts to empower students from rural and semi-urban regions by bringing world-class learning platforms right to their doorsteps. We have established collaborations and academic linkages with global tech leaders such as Microsoft, IBM, Google, TCS, Accenture, and Red Hat, offering our students access to advanced certifications, tools, and mentorship that align with the demands of the 21st-century digital workforce.
We have also set up Remote Learning Centres in partnership with IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi, enabling our students to participate in NPTEL MOOCs, workshops, and virtual labs. Our active ISRO Space Research Centre inspires young minds to explore the frontiers of science and technology through real-time research opportunities and national-level projects.
Keeping in view the evolving industry landscape, our curriculum is strategically aligned with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) standards. This ensures that every learner is equipped with practical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a solutions-oriented mindset. The curriculum is continually updated in consultation with industry experts, ensuring relevance and readiness for global opportunities.
In all our endeavors, we remain guided by the vision and mission of AKS University — to develop responsible, skilled, and ethical professionals who contribute meaningfully to society and the nation. We are shaping the future by combining academic excellence with industry integration and societal impact.
